All Saints Highertown

Here at ASH we are passionate about creating a thriving Children’s ministry, inspiring the next generation to love God and live for Him.

We offer activities for pre-school (Toddle) and primary school-age (Young Saints) children.

What Can I expect at Toddle?

SONGS – Each week we will sing well-known children’s songs that are easy to learn and will help the children learn about the world and God. The songs are always great fun, and include actions, clapping and sound effects.

STORIES – We always include an interactive story so the children can learn about the world, about caring for one another, and about God.

MUSIC & PLAYTIME – When we have in-person Toddle sessions, we make time to play musical instruments and march about while we listen to music, and then keep some free time to play with some of the toys and games in church.

REFRESHMENTS – We provide refreshments and snacks during playtime for both adults and children. This is a great opportunity for your child to play with other children, and for the adults to meet and chat.

What Can I expect at Young Saints?

Young Saints is for primary school-age children and meets during our 10.30am Sunday worship.

PRAYER – Each session starts and ends in prayer. We love hearing the prayers of the children in our church, they inspire us and encourage us in our faith together.

TEACHING – Every session will focus on a passage of scripture, a story or parable. We love discovering what God might be saying to us through the Bible.

FUN – You can’t have a Young Saints session without fun, games and craft activities.

Additional Needs

We want all our children and young people to feel welcome and at home here at ASH. If you are a parent or carer of a young person with additional needs, we would LOVE to chat to you about the best way we can support you all. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

It’s free and safe!

At present we can only offer sessions during term time. The group is ideally suited for parents and carers with preschool aged children. The group leader will always be someone appointed with the relevant safeguarding and disclosure and barring service check. Attendance is free but if you would like to make a donation we would be very grateful – we would recommend £1 per child. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact us either through this website or by phoning the church office 01872 495121

Safeguarding

You can read more about our Safeguarding practices by clicking the button below. Every leader and helper involved in our childrens and families work will be safely recruited, trained in safeguarding best practice, and required to make a DBS check prior to becoming a volunteer or member of staff. If for any reason you have concerns regarding the safeguarding of children or vulnerable adults within the life of the church you should report this immediately. Please see our safeguarding page for information about who to contact.
