What Can I expect at Toddle?
Each week we will sing well known children's songs that are easy to learn and will help the children learn about the world and God. The songs are always great fun, and include actions, clapping and sound effects.
We always include an interactive story so the children can learn about the world, about caring for one another, and about God. They often involve fun games including treasure hunts, so the children can see that the story is as much about them as about others.
MUSIC & PLAY TIME
When we have in-person Toddle sessions, we make time to play musical instruments and march about while we listen to music, and then keep some free time to play with some of the toys and games in church.
Our in-person sessions include refreshments during play time for both adults and children. This is a great opportunity for your child to play with other children, and for the adults to meet and chat.
At present we can only offer sessions during term time. The group is ideally suited for parents and carers with preschool aged children. The group leader will always be someone appointed with the relevant safeguarding and disclosure and barring service check. Attendance is free but if you would like to make a donation we would be very grateful - we would recommend £1 per child. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact us either through this website or phoning the church number 01872 261944.
Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life. If you have any concerns about safeguarding please contact:
Our Parish Safeguarding Co-ordinator, Mrs Irene Mortimore who can be contacted through the church office on 01872 495121. | And our Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, Sarah Acraman who can be contacted on 01872 274351.
