The Truro Parent Support Group |
"For about seventeen years we have had the privilege of encouraging people with their families." |
The Truro Parent Support Group is designed to help parents to develop parenting and relationship skills. Raising children can be a physical and emotional rollercoaster! That’s why Mums and Dads need all the support they can get- not only to help them through the joys and challenges of being a parent, but also to keep their own relationship strong.
For about seventeen years we have had the privilege of encouraging people with their families. We use several different resources from two different parenting and relationship groups. One is the Family Caring Trust based in Northern Ireland, the other is Care for the Family. They offer a variety of courses which are both helpful and fun to follow. The support offered also makes a big difference to people. These courses are not just for people who feel they are not succeeding in their parenting or relationship, but for anyone who would like to improve what they are already doing, or to share with others in similar situations. Also the group is for anyone who is required to do a parenting course by the family courts. If necessary the course can be tailored for individual needs with three leaders who have professional and personal experience. If you would like to join us we meet every Thursday morning during term time at 10.00 o’clock, in the coffee bar of All Saints Highertown. The cost per course is £8.50 for the resources, with a free crèche and refreshments. |
