SPRING 2020

Thursday Club | at the church | Thursdays 2pm

Even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your greying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you;
and I will bear you and I will deliver you.
                          Isaiah 46:4

Thursday club meets most Thursday afternoons and is for over 50's. We often have visiting speakers and performances ranging from choirs and bell ringers to rock'n'roll, as well as a shared time of fellowship with tea and biscuits.

This group is particularly helpful for those people who live on their own, or who are looking to make new friends. Those who come really appreciate the time shared with others.

Please do join us, you are very welcome.
For more information please contact Shirley Woodhouse on 01872 241674 or by email

The Highertown Friends Group | fourth Tuesday | 2pm

We are a group of people who meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 2pm in the church lounge. We then go out to a local tea shop for a chat over a cup of tea and cake.
The group pays for your tea and cake the first time you join us! Transport is free and we aim to return to Highertown by 4.15pm.

If you are lonely, or just want an afternoon out, please come and join us, whether you have a church connection or not. This group has incorporated the Highertown Carers Group.
Two are better than one,
    because they have a good return for their labour:
if either of them falls down,
    one can help the other up.
         Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Delighted Diners | Once every other month | Victoria Inn

Delighted Diners is a new group, consisting of mainly church folk who, every few weeks, enjoy a Sunday lunch-time meal out together at a local restaurant. Great fun, great food and great fellowship. Come and join us.
