The Big Lunch
On Sunday 18th July 2009, we had a very successful and enjoyable "Big Lunch" with a hall full of people, both regular members of the congregation and some new friends. Inspite of the rain, the BBQ provided delicious food. Lots of children painted and played. We finished the afternoon with an informal act of worship, which included prayers for people and situations that members of the congregation had requested.
Shoe Box Appeal
On Sunday 18th October at our monthly Tea Time Service we packed and wrapped over 30 shoe boxes to go to children in Eastern Europe in time for Christmas. It was great fun -- and we hope that many children will benefit because of this international initiative of which we were happy just to be a small part.
